ABOUT US
Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students' Sports Council was formed in the Year 1994 with the objective to bond and introduce the CCAs Club,
and to promote as well as introduce all kinds of sports activities in NP.
The Students' Sports Council Committee is currently into its 18th year running for 2011/2012.
Students' Sports Council is zestful about fostering bonds that last a lifetime, introducing as well as promoting all sorts of sports activities
that could very well excite the inner sportsman within.
Our committee is bunch of enthusiastic, highly energized and caring special group of individuals. We also strongly believe in the meaning of playing hard and giving our best in all that we do, all in the name of fun.
We organize several activities throughout the year such as Interactive Day, Polympics, and even Sports Camp for prospective freshmen.
Students' Sports Council annually organizes Sports Camp, a major event that involves different clubs coming together,
to expose the freshmen to as many CCAs as possible. In addition to that, it is also a great way for the freshmen to widen their circle of friends and familiarize themselves with the school environment before school starts.
With a wide variety of activities offered, there's bound to be something for everyone!

SPORTS CAMP 12/13
Sports Camp is the only sports oriented camp in Ngee Ann Polytechnic! We provide you first hand experience with different sports such as Dragonboat, Archery, Fencing, Canoe Polo, MuayThai, Touch Rugby and many more.
Besides offering you such endless array of sporting experiences and challenges, we get you ready for school as well. Opportunities for you to familiarize your way around school and making new awesome friends
will provide you the best headstart for your poly life!

•POLYMPICS 2011!
HELLO ALL!
It's the time of the year ONCE AGAIN for us to live in the joy of competition and sweat it all out for glory! YES! We're talking about POLYMPICS 2011! The Students' Sports Council (SSC) has brought back the highly popular event, this time round with more attractive prizes and incredible program lineup for each and every participant to enjoy!
Unlike the usual rule whereby students can only form teams within their own... school faculties, this time round, YOU CAN FORM A TEAM WITH ANYBODY YOU LIKE! (provided that all participants are NP students :P)
Here are the 6 different sports we have:
Basketball (Males)
- 3 Players + 1 Reserve (4 per team)
- Purely male teams
- Max 1 IVP/POL-ITE member per team
Basketball (Females)
- 3 Players + 1 Reserve (4 per team)
- Purely female teams
- Max 1 IVP/POL-ITE member per team
Floorball
- 3 Players + 1 Reserve (4 per team)
- Mixed teams
- At least 1 female on court
- Max 1 IVP/POL-ITE member per team
Frisbee
- 5 Players + 3 Reserves (8 per team)
- Mixed teams
- At least 3 females on field
- Max 2 IVP/POL-ITE members per team
Futsal
- 5 Players + 2 Reserves (7 per team)
- Male teams only
- Max 2 IVP/POL-ITE members per team
Netball
- 7 Players + 2 Reserves (9 per team)
- Mixed teams- Max 3 guys on court
- Max 2 IVP/POL-ITE members per team
Volleyball
- 6 Players + 2 Reserves (8 per team)
- Mixed teams- At least 2 females on court
- Max 1 IVP/POL-ITE members per team
Apart from the sports competition, do look forward to the highlight of this year’s Polympics which is …… THE AMAZING RACE! It will be held on the last day of this event, which falls on a Thursday, 17th November! Limited slots only, it will be on first come first serve basis! :) Medals will be given away to the Top 3 teams for each sport and for the Amazing Race! CCA Points will also be given to all participants!
So, quit hesitating! Start forming your teams now, and sign up with us at our registration booth!

Time: 11am-6pm
